Pay day loan using student loan?

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some advice on a loan. I'm looking for a short term loan, but I'm a student and I have bad credit history. I'm looking for around £300-500. I'm a student, have no job at the moment but getting a student loan payment of just over £1400 in 4 weeks. So I want a loan for 4 weeks that I'd pay back using a student loan payment. Is this possible? Do you know any companies that do this sort of thing?

Thanks

Mike.

    It's possible, but expensive.

I understand it would be expensive but it'll only be a one time thing and I could really use it. Do you know where does it? I've been looking on a few pay day loan type sites and most of the applications want to know the regular monthly income which I don't really have.

Have you approached your bank about getting a temporary overdraft extension?

I did it when I was a student - I had about 4 of them mainly with these cheque cashing type places - however I wouldnt recommend it...

Can we ask what you want the money for in case we can come up with an alternative answer?
Do you really want to spend most of your student loan repaying just £400? (which is quite likely to happen in this case)

Hi, it's mostly for car repairs and I'm really short until the loan comes through!

If you don't have a job you need to get to, why do you need the car? Best to wait until you can afford to fix it, preferably once you've got a job.

The answer to that question is in replies #2, #4, #6 and #7.

The best advice is in reply #9

couldn't you get your parents to help out until the loan comes through?
