Mortgage Advice Please?

Hi There,

Hoping someone can help me out,

i messed up big time with my finances through my own stupidity and listening to bad advice, i ended up more in debt than i was and defaulted 3 accounts, i have paid back 2 in full and working on the other.

Basically my partner is talking about buying a house but im a bit worried i'll be rejected, she has a perfect credit score and never missed a payment in her life.aprt from my last 6 months blip overall ive been fine and working to improve my rating.

do you think we would have any chance getting a mortgage?

thanks in advance

What purchase prices are you looking at?

    What deposit do you have?

  • Basically when i added all my debts up i realised i couldn't afford to keep the payments up, so i took some advice from a friend who told me to go through i debt management company who would get the interest froze and smaller repayments. this sounded great to me so i went ahead.
the debt management company told me to stop making payments to my creditors immediatley but as i found out the interest didn't get froze and i incurred extra charges and ended up owing even more money.
I know its my fault for doing my research properly as if i did id not have got any defaults and would be close to being debt free.

i have stopped using the debt management company and paid off all but one of my debts

    What is her income?

Does she have any other debts in her name?

Depending on the responses, she may be able to apply in her name only - but remember 90% mortgages are not going to be the cheapest at the moment
