Virgin 'offer'

HI

OK, we are with Virgin, and recently just got an email telling about changes. One is that in order to save £1.25 per month it is best to go onto e-billing. Done!

We have TVdigital and phone and computer broadband--all Virgin. And my Broadband is the lowest speed which is medium. And the faster speeds are staying same. However they are putting price up for medium to £2.00 per month. However I am told the speed of our broadband will increase to (L) which is 10mb.

But the customer service said there was an 'offer', and said that if we went to (XL)--which is more than (L), then we will only have to pay an extra £1.50 per month but will have to sign a 12 month contract for the 'discount of £19 odd'

I asked her why it was that a much faster speed should be less? And that, would it ever be possible if they were to put price up to go back to M--the lowest. She said no.

So I smell something fishy. That Virgin is luring their customers onto a faster broadband with a 'discount' and once having signed contract and/or in future the price will greatly rise
