Easter bonnnets

Hi all i have got to make an easter bonnet for my 3yr old dd for her nursery. I am really looking forward to doind it but the problem i have is all i can think of to put on it is chicks, very original i know:o
Any ideas from anyone would be gratefully apprieciated

I made a bonnet for my niece and I was quite proud of it!! It cost less than £5 altogether as everything was from poundland.

You could blow up a balloon, paper mache the top, paint it brown and add twigs from the garden and make it into a nest. Add chicks to the top and some eggs / eggshells.

I have to make one too. I have the hat and a packet of chicks. I like the nest idea actually....ermmm!

Hi, I'm in the process of making one for my son, (although he is meant to be making it, I seem to have got carried away). Its half finished at the mo.
I measured my son's head with the card and made it into a crown shape, then cut a semi circle out of a paper plate and stuck it on the bottom, kind of looks like a cap. I then put yellow crepe paper on the top of the hat and stuck yellow feathers all over the card and top. we still have to put orange crepe paper over the paper plate and tick two eyes on, hey presto a chick hat!

Here is the giant creme egg I've just finished for my son. He was supposed to help but only managed painting the chocolate!! Look at the size of it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
