Hello
It's our 1st anniversary in a few weeks and the traditional theme is 'paper' - am having difficulties thinking of a suitable gift for my husband! We are on a budget so if anyone had any good MS suggestions then I'd be so grateful!
Thanks

How about a photo book of special times in your first year of marriage? Maybe start with some honeymoon pics (if you had one) and then other photos of you together or family events over the last year? I did this for my hubby for Xmas, with pics of our little boy over the last year. It was a tiny pocket one and I was able to give it a title etc and he loved it. You can get them in various sizes and prices-I think mine was about £4 delivered!

I wrote the story of how we met and married as a fairy story - he was the brave knight and I was the princess waiting to be rescued. (It sounds kinda soppy but it was actually quite funny!) I printed it out and made a book using (bought) hand made paper.0

a scrap book for all your bits n' pieces that you might have saved from the memorable places you both visited such as cinema tickets, festival wristbands, birthday cards etc., you can then pad it out with some favourite photos that you've accumulated over the year. make sure you decorate the cover really nicely with coloured card, ribbon, glitter, cut-out shapes/words (love/or their name in big letters). the pages inside could be decorated too. each page could be given it's own theme ie., why i love you/things you love/animal or family page... you could create boxes/borders for each picture and/or for the wording. scent a page with his favourite aftershave and theme it as his best features with pics of his body parts!! (the mind boggles!!)
hope this helps you..0 -
Does he appreciate jokey presents? Reason I ask is if you are on a budget then you could just buy him a newspaper on the day and wrap a ribbon around it? Saves on too much of the expense

Design and print off some vouchers that he can redeem for 'favours' ?
some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it

We are on 4th - fruit and flowers so it is rather self explanetory this year!Pucker up and kiss it Whoville! - The Grinch:kiss:0 -
can you get (or fake up) a newspaper from day you were married? make nice or funny articles about the ceremony, guests, etc.
One page needs to have 'discount' holiday advert, for which you have already booked and got tickets!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..

Cinema tickets.

For a Paper anniversary, how about a magazine subscription? There are loads of deals about at the moment, and the gift would last all year.0
