Haven't been on here for a while as we have been gradually and successfully working our way out of debt but have had a major upset and been unable to pay our lst Gas DD so had to cancel it, now Scottish Power are demanding full payment which we haven't got. On Saturday morning we got an envelope, in the middle of the letters the postman had put through the door, with just my name on it no stamp, inside was a card from Power2Contact telling us to ring the number for Mr Smith within the next 24 hours or a warrant of entry from Magistrates would be applied for to cut off our gas. I will add here that since I have been long term sick I have had so much harrassment from DCA's I have developed an acute phobia of using the phone so I have spent all weekend worrying. My husband phoned Scottish Power who said that they would enter into a payment plan only if we could pay a quarter of the total owed only then could they stop the DCA but we can't until he's paid at the end of this week. Has anyone got any advice for what to do in the meantime. The man said that it wouldn't be likely that an action would be enforced before payday but I'm really worried as I've read some awful things about P2C on the net.
