Moneyback on Comet Breakdown Cover

Just make sure you follow everything to the letter and all should be ok.
Also keep copies of all the original documents you send to Comet and use Recorded Delivery to post the documents.
I made a claim for repayment of a premium (£139.99) after five years on a fridge my mum bought from Comet.
The fridge had been sold after two years and my mum was dead by the claim was made; however I submitted the claim in my mum's name as if my mum was still alive.
Got the repayment with no problems at all.
By the way my mum only paid £30 of the £139.99p premium anyway so a 'profit' of £109.99p was made!
To help you remember when these repayments are do it is a good idea to buy one of those five yeard diaries and/or record the date of repayment in Microsoft Outlook or other computer-based calendar/alarm program.0 -

You will need to send the originals or they won't refund the money.
Yes, quite right. I didn't read the post properly.
Sending the originals today. Keeping copies as backup.

Unfortunately, it it's like the one I'm dealing with now, I think you're out of luck.
Firstly, they require that you register for the offer shortly after the purchase. so if you didn't do this, they're not obliged to give the refund.
Secondly, they require that you submit all the orginal documents.
It seems that they make a lot of money from these warranties, so i doubt they'll be over-keen to help you out if you've lost the paperwork.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.0 -
Yes I can confirm I sent the "original" paperwork kept the copies. I do this on most things now. Trust no one!!!
You should be fine PPJ.
Let us know how it goes.

Just thought I'd let you know, I succeeded in getting the refund. I think it took two or three weeks to come through.
