Was printing out my Egg card statements earlier! Tend to do it only once every 6 months or so but on my September statement there was a deduction of £214.20 from Admiral Insurance!
For the life of me I can't think what this is for! I did have Admiral car insurance but swapped over to Elephant when it was up about 3 weeks later!
I'm thinking perhaps they took a payment without me knowing or something! If this is the case what chances have I got to get the money back?

A very good reason for checking yr account monthly against the chitties which should be retaineds- boring, but a moneysaver. Doing this, I've found a couple of errors in the past saving me £350-odd. this sounds self-righteous, but isn't intended to be.
Anyeway ring the C/C helpline and query them - they should be able to provide details - even a signature if it was a manual payment. Good luck."Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0 -
Elephant are owned by Admiral and as such payments from either will probably come up as from Admiral. Check your insurance details when you switched over and see if you can match up the amount taken from Egg to the amount charged from Elephant...

I hope you didn't give Admiral a CPA (continuous payment authority) on your CC, it's a b1tch to stop usually.:j The £2 CSC = £48 in carton£100 banked Mar 06V-Free : 4 weeks

I don't think I did!
The thing is it's confusing coz of the amount! If it was double that then I would have said that's what it was but £215 is far too cheap for a years insurance for me!
Anyone got any thoughts on what it could be?
I didn't have any accidents, it's not excess for a claim!

was you in a 12 month contract, maybe it was the payments you were due to make had you still been in the contract.
Just a thought

Just realised what it was! I put my dads insurance on my card coz he's only got an electron which wasn't accepted on the website!
Thanks for all your replies!

It's our pleasure! At least you'll get a good night's sleep now!"Some say the cup is half empty, while others say it is half full. However, this is skirting around the issue. The real problem is that the cup is too big."0

But unless you expressly told them that this was a one-off payment, ie not a CPA, they may send his renewal out later this year stating that unless he cancels, they will renew on your card.southernscouser wrote:Just realised what it was! Might be best to get this sorted now, rather than store up some trouble for later.0
