Hi

Can anyone recommend somewhere to have a nice lunch in the centre of Bangor, please?

Thanks.

You're the second person to recommend Marine Court so I'll definitely bear it in mind.

Completely flexible with taste and budget (as long as it isn't Indian/Thai as my lunch companion isn't a fan)
  • The Ava. Never had a bad meal there!

I would second the Ava, especially good value at lunchtime IMHO.

The Ava is currently being renovated (downstairs) so bear in mind there may be some site noise.
There's also a restuarant at the bottom of Grays Hill that was highly "discussed" on this very forum :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Seriously though, there's also the Salty dog just around the corner from the marine court and it gets quite a good name although I must admit to not having been in it

I've never been back to the Ava since they told my wife that her tiny (compared to the restof us) well done steak was normal as they all shrink when "well done" !!! That was after keeping us waiting for nearly an hour.

Try Back Street Cafe in Holborn Avenue, very tasty food. The Marine Court is also good.
