My hair is like straw if I don't condition it
I use Aussie Miracle Hair Insurance, it's a leave-in conditioner and it's excellent. Here's a picBulletproof0 -
Thanks i will try it :P0

Is it the same as this one http://www.semichem.co.uk/p-52-aussie-miracle-hair-insurance-conditioner-250ml.aspx seems to be quite cheap for 250ml. Is it a spray? http://www.wilkinsonplus.com/invt/02619410

I have very dry coarse hair and until I got the coppola treatment I used sebastian products. the penetraitt treatment is excellent and I buy it from the USA as it is so much cheaper over there. I also rely heavily on serums but for a cheap fix my favourites are an oil from the body shop I think it is called the monoi miracle oil and costs about £10 but lasts for ages when used as a smoothing oil and on the ends.
I also on occassion use the coconut oil from superdrug which is a solid oil you need to melt (either with hairdryer or hands) and at last check cost approx £1
I have tried loads of products and although the aussie spray and 3 minute miracle are good I would use the spray in addition to an intensive conditioner and would use the 3 minute miracle each time I wash my hair which means it ends up being quite expensive. HTHIf you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
The Aussie one is a spray. Asda sometimes have it on offer, 2 for £5.
Ali, is the Superdrug oil a leave-in conditioner? If I use rinse-out conditioner, I can't get it rightI either use not enough, or too much then my hair looks greasy, even though I use just a tiny bit more than last time
I used to like Sunsilk leave-in, but I can't find it anywhere now.Bulletproof0 -
Tru, I'm not Ali, but am going to answer anyway! Superdrug coconut oil is not a dedicated hair conditioner, you can use it on skin too. Taken off the tub's instructions: "After shampooing, apply to wet or dry hair by gently massaging into the hair and scalp with your fingertips. Pure Coconut Oil may also be used as a moisturiser for your skin.
I use this on my poor abused, colour-treated hair (why wasn't I born blonde? ) and it makes a huge difference. We could all learn a little something from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.0 -
Oooh that sounds great, thanks
Specially as I can use it for skin too, it'll work out a lot cheaper than buying body lotion.

John Frieda Frizz-Ease Wind Down relaxing creme is good for difficult dry hair - leave in and don't rinse out. Lasts a long time and often on offer in Boots etc. Also their shampoo and conditioner in the straight ahead range0

ditto - cheap as chips but it works and if you only have damaged end then a wee bit through the ends will work a treat. My hair is like candyfloss without any products so I use it throughout my hair and it is great although too much can leave you oil slick like if it is used too close to the roots :rotfl:If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
As coconut oil solidifies, apparently it can block the hair pores too (heard it from family friends who use hair oil)
If you go into asian supermarkets you can find a range of hair oils - which you massage into the scalp and apply to the length of the hair, and leave in for a few hours - preferably overnight, and then shampoo as usual. though not after shampooing as your hair will feel greasy,
the massage and oil will condition the scalp and hair. you can get a range of fruit oils - alternatively you can use olive oil (and this one on your body too!).
Also, up intake of egg, avocado or you can get a vitamin supplyment (from Holland & Barrett), which will help nourish the hair. these will help give glossy hair but will take a few months to notice the difference as the dry hair grows out - but the oil - difference will be relatively quicker.0
