That's what she said. One developement had only sold 8 of 30 odd units. So the remainder were being let. This meant it was hard to compete with newly built high spec property in the rental market.

btl let flats are ten a penny all over the country, and a lot of greedy developers have flooded the market with these, thats why they are so cheap.

I personally would avoid buying any type of flat or apartment to rent out, especially now, but some people were advised to and made the mistake of buying these.

round by us a 1 bed roomed flat is going for about 400 pound a month, i dont suppose its bad as long as it covers the landlord mortgage, but i have notice they have been struggling to let them.

However the 2,3 and 4 bed roomed houses seem to be let in a few days.

These are 3/4 bed units not flats.

maybe they will sell them to the housing association, its happening more and more now, same thing greedy developers wanting to cash in on houses, i bet they are all crammed right next to each other, so they could get has many has thay could on the plot, with a small garden.

I have no sympathy for these people at all, theyve just tried to be really greedy, the people i feel sorry for are the few that have bought, because when the housing association start housing people in them for low rents, this will reflect the other properties around it that people have bought.

The housing association will never pay anywhere near what the developer wants, and this will reflect on the prices the housing association people will be able to buy the houses for.

Im not saying housing association people are bad tenants, i would just be gutted if a housing association person comes in rents for a couple of years and then buys the same property the buyers have paid full wack for, for a reduced price.
