slow cooker question

I have my brisket etc in the slow cooker but now I am having to go out.
Is it safe to leave it on?
Will be gone for a good couple of hours!
Now I would never leave the cooker on so im not sure about the slow cooker!
Dont really want to turn it off as I would have to wait till it has cooled before putting in the fridge then start the cooking procedure again (if thats even safe!)

TIA

hi - it's fine to leave it on - that's what having a slow cooker is all about - popping it on and then going off to work etc. It will be fine.

Might want to turn it down to low if you're not sure when you'll be back ;)
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I'm leaving my oven on while we're all out this afternoon.

It is definitely safe to leave a slow cooker on while you're out. That's the point of them isn't it?
