With the fags - being a drug & alcohol worker - could I argue that I would need psychosocial intervention, cognitive behaviour therapy and motivational interviewing to address my triggers and address my underlying issues to use nicotine over and above the addictive quality of the stimulant... I had a hard life you know, I saw things you wouldn't believe, when I was 10 my pet worm died and it had a profound effect on me and I found I was using 40 times a day, it goes up when I'm stressed and I need a detox at the Porchester Ward in Nottingham (£8,500) and a rehab in Wales (£22,500)

    Worth a go?

Won't work, believe me. I'd cross through that line when calculating your IPA and not give it a second thought. It's specifically mentioned as not allowed in the guidelines.

I agree with the things that FYP has said will be disallowed, which would reduce your outgoings to £1,054 resulting in a small £53 p/m IPA.

TV Licence not in my name - in OH -

    Presents - I have 5 kids (4 grown up and 1 at 15) and 2 grandkids

Emergency fund - fair enough but I'm going to give it a try

    Sundries - fair enough

Fags - !!!!!!, might need to tweak some of the above

Having to lose weight so quickly - could I chance my arm and try for more money, I actually dropped 2 trouser sizes in 12 weeks or so - went from 46" waist, 54" chest and 20" neck to 42" waist - 50" chest and 19" neck - I'm sure I can get a GP to write me a letter to confirm how much I need to lose weight (the core part of my job is working with 9 of them) my cl;othes are now a wee bit airy on me

You also need to show your OH contribution to household income and then list full monthly outgoings rather than just what you specifically pay.
  • This is where I'm struggling a bit...
  • I think it's time to edit some stuff!!!!!! since these come up in Google Searches
  • (b) beneficial interest.
If your name does not appear on the title deeds but you have made a financial contribution to the property, either at the time of purchase or in subsequent mortgage payments, you may have a beneficial interest in the
property - Nope, there was no mortgage and I had no loans or money in the bank that would correlate to the time she purchaed the property

Another example may be if you have invested a lump sum in repairs or improvements thereby increasing the value of the property. Your interest may be expressly recorded in a declaration of trust or it may be implied by the Court. - nope again - I have made neither financial nor labour contributions to the improvement of this property - all work undertaken by contractors and all payments solely made by deed holder (not me) - I have had no loans that correlate with the time any improvements were undertaken - I was on a low wage as well
If you live in a property owned solely in your cohabitee’s name, but are contributing to the mortgage or other household liabilities, you may have an interest under an implied trust. You should take legal advice to ascertain what your position is and whether you should take steps to protect yourself.
    - Hmm, the highlighted bit is my worry - if I just give her a lump sum every month, with no bills in my name (well, no utility bills) would that meet this criteria - 'cos beneficial interest falls down on all other counts except possibly paying £15 towards an electric bill every week (That doesn't have my name on it) - i could see why the OR would be interested in this - you hear of these stars passing over big houses as presents or as trust funds, or getting the misses to buy the car off them - or giving the misses the house in her sole name etc... at no stage can I be financially linked with this property - no loans for property (my 1st loan was debt consolodation - which Blackhorse demanded they pay both credit card companies direct - the second loan was deposit for my car and to buy my scooter - and go on the razzle and both wouldn't have paid for 2 windows, let alone an extension)
This is my only major worry - I couldn't find anywhere else to live and was allowed to continue to live here until my circumstances improved - they haven't - so I'm still here - the lodger...

  • God knows why that last bit has gone all massive....
  • Could I flog my scooter to my mate to raise the money for my bankrupcy as is, for say, £250 scrap (as been SORNED for 2 years)?
