Transferring large sum FROM euro zone

Hi!

I read Martin's article on foreign currency ("Send or spend money internationally") with interest.
My situation is however reverse. In order to be able to get a deposit for buying my first house, my parents have offered to help, and we're searching for a way of transferring €20,000 from Belgium into the UK.
This will need to happen somewhat soon, given the way the exchange rate with the Euro is currently in my favour.

Dos anyone have any advice on this?

Many thanks.

20,000 euros is roughly £18,745.Not much to lose if you do it through the normal channels.

Can you not ask the Belgian bank to do you a forward foreign exchange contract so that you know exactly what the rate will be?

Try Ozforex or tranzfers (google them).

Have used Tranzfers and can recommend them. Ozforex is the parent company which deals in larger sums. Should be a set fee, about £7 so something similar in Euro's i'd assume.
