Where's my Completetion Certificate????

Options
Hi All.
I enterred into an IVA arrangement with Payplan in 2003 and completed the repayments last December. 3 months later I am still waiting for a completion certificate or something that I can pass on to reference agencies to inform them of it's successful completion (and hopefully start to improve my credit rating). Seems like I'm being given the runaround when contacting them, I get a different reason for the delay everytime. Anyone know how long finalisation should take when all payments are completed?

It took about 8 months for me to get completion certificate after we finished IVA as some creditors dragged their heels putting in claims.

Well it should take somewhere between doelani's 8 months and my 4 years so don't buy a frame just yet for your Certificate.

But being serious it does vary because its normally creditors that whinge and whine about you not paying on time then mess about claiming it when it is there. You've done your bit by completing your IVA (well done) and your credit rating cannot be repaired overnight, so sit back relax have a well earned Jack Daniels and let your IP earn his money

And best of luck for the future

Don't worry - mine took a good 4 months to come through. Don't feel bad about chasing up your IP - you've done your bit and paid the money as agreed, so it is only fair that the agreement is honoured by all parties.
