Wanted - Media Player

Hi there, not sure if this is the right forum, but here hoes.
I am looking for advise on a cheap, but good quality media player.
It has to be able to play - Multiregion DVDs, DIVX and would be great if it had a USB slot. Also recording is a nice to have as is upscaling, but not essential.
I am looking to spend circa £50 and will only buy from a reputable store.
I have seen the Toshiba SD290 which is a dvd player and plays divx, but doesnt say if it is multiregional.
I know I am asking for much, but hey, its the credit crunchh, and if anyone should know it will be on here.
I appreciate your help :-)

I have just purchased one of these from eclipse computers in coventry but they do sell them on ebay for a bit extra,it plays avi divx files straight from usb everything i have thrown at it,my only bad comment would be it is a bit slow ie takes a minute or two to pick up the film and play it but it is a small price to pay. http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=DVS-PHEONP
Also upscales to 10800
