HP Baked Beans 4 for £1 @ Asda

This doesn't seem to be a short-term offer, as they didn't have a special stand or large ticket. This price makes HP beans cheaper than Asda's own at £1.50ish and less than half the price of Heinz! :j No idea what they taste like, perhaps someone will comment?

Poundland also has these at 4 for a £1 at the moment.
I like them, according to the bumpf on the tin they are manufactured by Heinz, anyway!0 -
Thanks - you may have just given me the ammo to persuade Mr. Fire Fox that they are edible. He is such a label snob! :rolleyes:Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Don't know if you have a Costcutter near you but they have 6 tins of Branston Baked Beans for £1.50 I bought them and my husband liked them and he's a Heinz boy through and through. - BARGAIN!

Morrison's has the exact same offer on yesterday (4 X HP).0

The last tin of Heinz beans I bought had an awful lot of sauce and definitely not so many beans. Anyone else noticed or maybe it was just a one-off with that particular can?0

So they are. Just got a tin out of the cupboard to check. Now I am baffled why Heinz would release beans under two different brand names. Weird.0 -
Someone on here told me that there was a failure of the bean harvest, hence raised prices/less in tin. I think it's a bit of a rip off that they don't put 'drained weight' on beans like they do on some tinned veg. The HP beans are acceptable but lots of juice but I've been trying various in recent weeks and all seem to be much the same.0

I've got several 4packs of beans in my store cupboard and I don't pay full price for them. Branston beans are just as good as Heinz (IMHO!) and seem to be on offer more regularly just now0
