Issues with DCA - couple of questions please

Hello to anyone who may be able to help, and I do have to say a big thank you to those on here who have already imparted their invaluable wisdom and helped me to get as far as I have done already.
I am having some issues in obtaining requested information from a DCA; I sent a CCA request back in June last year and to date they have sent the documents to the Financial Ombudsman and Trading Standards but never directly to me. They state they they have fulfilled their obligations as both of these organisations had said that they would pass the documents to me but the DCA have never actually supplied this information directly to me. Do you think that they have fulfilled their obligations or not, I'm really not sure.
In addition I have had misleading and inconsistent information from them. I received a Notice of Assignment from the original creditor in April last year and they stated that the balance was the defaulted balance (defaulted in Dec 2005). A week later I received a letter from the DCA stating that the balance was now approx £1500 higher, they now claim that they have been adding interest in since the date of default, some 18 months prior to when they were passed the account; can they do this?
Sorry it's so long but I thought that if you had all of the relevant information you may be able to offer your opinions?
Many Thanks

Why?they have sent the documents to the Financial Ombudsman and Trading Standards but never directly to me
Have you raised a complaint with the 2 organisations above?Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.
All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional0 -
Yes I have.
The FO are still investigating and all TS seem to have done is act as a liaison between me and the DCA. This has been the situation for several weeks now and we just seem to be going round and round in circles.
I want to know where I stand now so I can make some decisions on what to do next.0 -
You may find more useful info on this here:

Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

Great, thank you. I do find some of the threads quite confusing but I'll see what I can find out!
Thanks again, x0 -
Don't worry, so do I. Sometimes.
