I used to enter a lot of competitions around 4 -5 years ago. I spent around 45 minutes a day comping (before MSE cumsumed my spare time on computer!). I used to do a mixture of online, local paper, entry form, postcard etc. I had a steady stream of small wins (usually around 3 per week) plus the odd bigger win.

About 14 months ago I managed to find time again and won a lot less for same time input. Although I did win a luxury weeekend away. Has anyone here been comping for a while? If so, do you still win as much as you used to?

I have been comping for a while and i used to win quite a bit, but with the introduction of so many comp forums and more people using the internet, you tend not to win as much now as theres lesser chance of winning.

I've only been comping for just over a year but my boyfriend has been comping for years and he says he used to win loads but in about the last couple of years the amount of wins has gone steadily down. Now we only manage to win about 1 per month between us. Weve won 2 luxury weekends away and a load of small prizes.

It could simply be becoming more popular as a hobby. I guess at that return it might not be financially viable in stamps? I used to win around £2,500 - £3000 worth of prizes a year. The 'big' prizes were mainly breaks away becuase I entered lots of them.
