I've got the Panasonic 253 with dispenser and I love it - the Focaccia recipe in the book that comes with it is to die for!...all the other recipes are also excellent, except that I don't add any sugar of any kind...much prefer the flavour and finished article.People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

I am a very new bread machine addict. After reading on here I bought the Panasonic 253 about a month ago. I have used it nearly every day and have never been disappointed with the results. It pains me to say it but I reckon it is better than my own handmade bread.
The most complex thing for me was learning to understand the display but I soon got the hang of it.
Bought mine from Amazon, had to watch out for the p&p on seemingly better offers.0 -
Hi Panny owners
Could you please tell me if the panasonic loaf has holes in it like some of the other makes. Thanks0 -

Do you mean in the bottom of the bread? From the dough paddle? If so, yes, I think all breadmaker loaves would have this.
If you mean the texture of the bread then no, all my loaves have risen properly with a good even texture.

I've got a Panasonic 253 and it's fantastic. It's used at least once a day, and with the exception of the time I forgot to put the paddle in, has not produced a bad loaf!! I got mine last September and found Amazon were the cheepest place to buy, and they do free delivery. It's better to beg forgiveness than ask permission.0

Thanks Racyred
Sorry yes by asking about the hole I did mean from the paddle. Is it a big hole, will I have hole in the middle of my sandwichesIts the only thing putting me off getting one
Thanks0 -
I was worried about this too but the hole is not that big as the paddle is slim. It also only affects a couple of slices in the middle. It isn't like there is a big chunk of bread missing.0

Another Panasonic 253 owner over here! I have had mine for about 2 years and use it pretty much every other day for making bread for DF's sandwiches along with dough for rolls and cinnamon raison loaves (using the dispenser) for me - this is yummy toasted and slathered with butter hehe!!Kirsty, Taunton, xxx0

I have a Panasonic as well and would agree with everything everyone says. Pizza, foccaccia, bread. hot cross buns, rum babas (with a £2.50 tin from Lidl). Whenever we go to parties, I get asked to bring HM bread“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
