Me and my wife work part time as we have young children and as you can guess have to juggle bills which we're failing at badly.
this month alone ive had over £100 worth of bank charges and considering after i saw a money advisor to help my get a grip of my dept it was determined on our income was £10 less than our outcome before any loans were even thought about...
Im in big trouble with my dept so much so as ive been advised the only real option is bankruptcy!
sorry i was just trying to fill you in on my situation.
in january i cancelled all my direct debits to stop my self getting charges and got hounded to set them up again but not by welcome finance they only asked for my long card number...
and the ones i did set up ive missed because again because i set them up too early but thats down to my stupidity
Now welcome finance- My three monthly phone bill came in and must be paid this month and i was going to miss WF and as they didnt have a direct debit i knew i didnt have to cancel that but i was still wary with them haveing all my details to take the cash anyway so i called the bank told them i lost my card and could they send me a new one which the did...
welcome finance still got there monies from my bank account! i have no idea why, it wasnt autheriesed and they didnt have my new card number
does anyone know where i stand with WF or the bank for that matter in getting my money back?

I don't know about getting your money back - that will be hard, I think, You could set up a no frills current account (I believe the Co-op do one) for the future and make sure you don't give details of it to Welcome.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0

thanx for your replies but it seams i did give them permission last month when i gave them my details but it doesnt explaine how they got my new details unless it has the same long card number...
i also went to the bank this morning to see if i could get some of my charges back... i asked for a private meeting but obviously there idea of a private meeting is in the buisiest area next to the queue, not good for a stressed out nervous person i tried to plea with them but they basiccaly laughed at me and gave me a complaints booklet whilst im trying to hold off a panic attack
and i will read through the DFW section i've got some big decisions to make...0 -
I'm not sitting in judgement, but when I had three young children, I worked full time, and had no partner cos the b****r had run off. All I'm saying is, couldn't at least one of you go full time to ease your situation?0

I found out that even when you have your card cancelled, you can still use it! I had problems with my card, cancelled in October was sent a new one activated this but was still able to purchase things off old card even in December! Kind of defeats the purpose of cancelling a card!0
