Lenders backing out of Morgage deals

A smally update if anyone is interested. I made an official complaint with regard to the above, to the Halifax.
I have just recieved a letter from them upholding my complaint!!:j
They will refund my valuation fee and are paying the conveyancing costs.
No mortgage, but I didn't expect that, not with things the way they are.
The guys in the branch backed me up, bless them. They were not kept up to speed with the changes either.

All I need now is for my mortgage advisor to secure me the mortgage, if that happens, henceforth he shall be known as The Bestest Mortgage man in the north west and I shall recommend him to all and sundry!! I think I may call him that anyway, he's been extremely helpful and supportive.

Sometimes it is worth making a noise, if you can back it up.:beer:

That's great to hear. Well done for following it through.

Unfortunately a lot of banks are making things up as they go along these day, and will continue to do so if people don't take the time to complain about it.
