The above item is offered through the description as a complete set of three stacking units requiring self assembly. My sister reserved these for me to collect on wednesday. On receiving the item in store i looked a little perplexed at receiveing one box which appeared quite small for the items required. Anyway once i had shown my sister she confirmed i had only been given one box instead of the three. I rang customer services to check the description and to tell them that as far as i could see i had just collected the only 'set' instore so no more were showing as available for collection.
The lady i spoke to confirmed the set should contain 3 however the nearest store to stock them was now 15 miles away but a member of the local store lived round the corner and would bring them in for me to collect today. So this should be an easy amendment..... not so im afraid.
Many regulars of the site will remember the fiasco regarding the ITNG figures prior to xmas where website showed 2 items in a set but there were three to collect and many stores were only handing these out singularly. Well it seems this follows suit.
Whilst instore the floor manager advised it was an over site and that it was only one storage unit per order not the three i had had confirmed with CS and even the lady i had spoken to one the phone had gotten it wrong this time. As no stock is available in a local vacinity the best they could do was give me the one item fetched from the outside store foc as a goodwill gesture and not budge on the fact it is specified as three. She even rang head office whom confirmed i must have misheard but luckliy all calls are recorded for staff training and it was played back while i waited a little less patiently on the shop floor. So i have had to give in a little disgruntled and await a phone call from head office as an apology - cant see this happening myself but who knows?
Has anyone else had any problems with this offer?

Have you actually opened the box and looked inside ?
We bought one of these and the box it is provided in (when FLAT PACKED) is actually smaller (in 2 directions) than the size of a single box (of the stackable 3 boxes) when assembled.
Inside this "smaller box" were in fact 3 stackable boxes !!!

The size of the box is way to small to house 6 end boards and then all the rails etc. My sister knew immediately two of the stacking system were missing as she had not long purchased the Thomas the Tank ones for her son.
Once she arrives here today to view them and open them i will comment further.:j Was married 2nd october 2009 to the most wonderful man possible:j

I bought 2 today, thinking I was buying 2 sets of 3. As soon as I picked them up I realised the box wasn't big enough to hold 3. I double checked and then headed straight back to the counter.
The guy behind the counter was lovely. I explained that the website states 3 tier stacker so I thought I was getting 2 sets of 3. He offered me 2 free. I told him that I was expecting 6 storage boxes for £11.98, yet he was offering me 4 for the same price. He checked with his manager and in the end I got 4 for £5.99. Bargain.
I didn't shout or anything. I was quite calm. Had they said no, I would have just said ok don't want them refund my card please.
Having built them - well DH built them, the girls love them and have asked for more?!?Newtonlot on an MSE mission0 -
I thought I'd email them to see what they came back with:
Subject: Catalogue number 079/0664- In the Night Garden Upsy Daisy Stackable Storage.
Thank you for your e-mail regarding the above product that you wish to purchase.
I can confirm as requested, that all three of the stackable storage boxes are the same size.

Hello, went and got a set of these today at my local argos as i thought they would be handy for little miss' mega blocks.
Woman was having none of it, so asked there must be something you can do and asked for the manager. Who was more than willing to give the 3 for the £5.99
Chip in one leg but i am very pleased. thanks for the heads up!0 -
