Answer - Gallow Hill, Moffat
“Looking south through the trees on this macabre vantage point, I have a view of a town where walkers north of the border are assured a hearty welcome, and the local toffee is famed for its sour aftertaste. The town’s eponymous well lies across a valley to the northeast, and another valley westwards holds a south-running river that shares its name with the fishing town that meets the sea.”
Can you guess where I’m standing? If you submit the correct answer by 30th May 2009 and your name is the first picked at random, you will win an Olympus waterproof, shockproof and freezeproof Tough camera - worth £290! It’s great for taking photos in extreme conditions as blur caused by camera shake is virtually eradicated, thanks to Dual Image Stabilisation.
