I would like to try one of the European holidays, but would like to fly or Sail from Southampton, does anyone have any suggestions on a good European park that is also near or easy to get from for airport or docks

We had a fantastic holiday in Holland. I think that park is listed with the Sun Holidays this time round. It was Dunreill (or something!). Sorry that probably doesn't help. But it is a hop, skip and small drive from Zebruggee port.

Has anyone any recs re Haven vs Park Resorts vs Parkdean? I have a choice of all 3 in the area I'm looking at - but which is best? (No Harry Hill jokes please - we've been through all that here!)

I would definately recommend the Parkdean camps, I've been to Ruda, Looe Bay and West Bay and all have been really good, lovely caravans, nice clean parks and good facilities.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

I'd agree. Parkdean is much more relaxed than Haven, and not all about getting as much money out of you as possible. We found that the kids were winning prizes at Parkdean that Haven would be charging a fiver for, and a "prize" at Haven is a daft certificate which you have to fill in yourself!........

However, Easter wouldn't be the same without a holiday in Blackpool....Marton Mere here we come!!!!!!!!! just need to arrange a loan to pay for all the daft Haven character teddies!
  • Has anyone been to Combe Haven or Devon Cliffs (Haven Hols) with The Sun Hols before and if so, would you be kind enough to tell me what they are like please

went to devon cliffs about 5 years ago, lovely pool. Very big site, access straight to small sandy and rocky beach with red cliffs behind. Recommend that you have the passes in order to use the pool. We had a luxury caravan which we upgraded to fairly near the beach and with an open grassy bit in front, best one we have ever had (of the 20 or so sun holidays we have been on ).
