Hi
I have a current account with Lloyds, £1200 overdraft which I live within, and 2 x maxed out credit cards with them, on which I am paying just the minimum payment (c£10k in total)
If I open a basic bank account, all I could get, and have my salary and direct debits on that account in order to negotiate with Lloyds would there be additional consequences?
Would I look better in future by having a standard bank account? Could I upgrade the basic bank account account after using it well? I have not missed any payments now for 12 months and have cleared a couple of debts, would negotiating with Lloyds now undo what I have managed so far?

Well the main question is are you in any trouble with any of your creditors. If not then my advice is stick with paying off what you can but check the interest rates on both the CCs and the overdraft and pay off what ever is higher first.
Also tell you bank to cancel you overdraft as soon as its reasonable to do so.0
