The news reports show that the LDV factory employees large numbers of despised white men. No wonder Labour isn't lifting a finger to help!
Different story if 'Lord' Ahmed had again threatened to mobilise his private army of the religion of peace!0 -

I don't think thats fair.
If it's a safe labour seat, they won't life a finger. If it's a marginal, they would have pulled out all the stops.0 -
Putting the financial situation to one side, lets look at the real world here. You can give LDV all the buy outs in the world...... but...... LDV VANS ARE RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!! (just in case you didn't get that) LDV VANS ARE RUBBISH!!!!!
I drive a lot of vans and they are really not that good, if you want proof then look at all the self employed guys running round the country, very few of them buy LDV, most would rather drive transits, VW's or french stuff than the "new sherpa". The only people that drive them are the post office, and they have probably had some lunatic govt directive telling them to "buy British"
We can pour as much as we like into LDV but it won't help all that much, sorry to be so depressing........"Life is a sexually transmitted disease....... with a 100% mortality rate"0 -

Such technology will take years to develop properly and even then the vans may not prove popular. The final problem is that much bigger firms like Toyota are always much better placed to develop long term research like eco-friendly vans. LDV are the Rover of vans.
well said, this seems to be the mantra for the car manufacturers at the moment. green, eco, environment , organic are the catch words. they somehow sound better than the normal and sound out of the world.
eco friendly my a**e! all they want is the money, maybe to fund their pensions before they go kaput! oh, thats till they come back and buy their own company for cheaper from the administrators in a few weeks!0 -
Do we really want to start creating a British Leyland all over again?0

I own one and I really like it, and I don't work for the post office
Then again, my car is an Austin Allegro and although I keep being told I shouldn't like it, I still can't help myself and do....0 -

This is a wind up - isn't it?
The Austin Allegro was voted Britain's worst car this year - 25 years after production ceased. That car in it's time was the butt of every stand up comedians act. It is hard to believe that it would last 30 years.
LDV and an Allegro, no it's a wind up.0 -
Nope, not a wind up. I have a Y reg 2 door Allegro. It is the 4th Allegro I have owned and it took ages to find. This is a wind up - isn't it?

That's because it's the only 27 year old Allegro in existance.0 -
