No-one on here has mentioned that you shouldn't really be paying very much at all for a contract mobile, if you go to the mobiles board there are often offers for cashback deals from carphonewarehouse and many others. If you go through quidco you get an extra £30 odd. (for example my last mobile was a nokia 6230i on o2 anytime 200 and it will cost me £20 for the whole year!), if you don't need the phone - sell it on ebay and make a profit. IMHO pre-pay is a real waste of money due to these excellent deals.

I've just ordered a reconditioned nokia 7280 from phones4u with £270 cashback. I'm gonna sell the phone and make £100 profit!!

The golden rules are always go with a big company like carphonewarehouse, phones4u, and remember to send in your bills to get the cashback.

A few mins of my time is worth it to save over £300 per year, and I'm not even cutting back.

    hi
we do have a slow cooker which i use, not often though as OH is so picky woith veg etc, i mainly use it for cooking meats in like chicken or curries. i cook from fresh and use the markets for fruit veg and eggs. my weekly shop at tesco this week was £30, including a bottle of wine!

the holiday could have waited definately yes but you have to have some fun dont you?! we usually go on lastminute cheapo deals but with my hol dates at uni bn i july and set times we thought book early, and egypt was cheaper than spain. a luxury yes but we all need some luxuries in life! the hol is almost paid off now anyway and its something to look forward to. we had got one of those sun newspaper weekends too but cancelled it as we cant a4d two. i know was just a wkend but we would have still spent more than if we were at home.

the landline i am going to look at changing bt rang me the other day and offered me eves and wkends free calls for £11 pm , for 6mths then £22 after that.
i have 2 old phones (that friends have borrowed and not given back so i have called in the favours today) and im going to sell them on ebay.

i didnt go with the cashback schemes as i had read if you are unorganised you might not end up getting the cashback. i might try one next time.
home ins is buildings and contents i honestly thought was a good deal until now. i will shop around to change that and sky im ringing them when i have typed this!

OH has smoked rollies today and his meeting is 27th march

i want to have a family when i qualify (not straight away!) so dont want to come out with debt thats will just keep rolling on really.

thankyou once again to you all for more ideas you are all stars!xxxxxxxxxxxx
