My sis has a realy bad reception, due to the fact that there is a big fat old tree bang outside her house .......... she could hardly get analoge tv, she got a freeview box and it only picked up 7 channels so I took it to my house to tuned it in, got all freeview channels set up and took it back to her house she plugged it in to tv and could view them all. So if u have bad reception try tuning it in at a mates house. I would recomend the digifusion box from argos, me and my sis have it and it has 7 day EPG and also 30 second rewind tv. Have had it for months now and its brilliant!!!

    No topuptv slot tho

  • I got one reduced at netto for only £14.99 its a "cheap" alba one but works just fine and i can recieve all the chanel, i think its whether you can get the signal rather than the quality of the box

the Curry's / Dixons one is good, much better than the cheap sagem one i got from Argos
That would be a Matsui, presumably. Could you say which model? I'd hate to get the wrong one!

The cheap Matsui and also Goodmans boxes are very good ( they are made by Vestel). They are especially good with weak signals.
My Goodmans picks up the ITV channels that my other box ( old pace ondigital box) can't manage.

Some Sagem boxes have been very poor for people that don't have a brilliant signal from their aerial. If you have a strong signal then they would be fine though.

Aurex A2STB Digtial Set Top Box - £26.99 & free delivery @ Ebuyer

I've no idea how good or bad it is, never heard of the brand before. Only 1 customer review and that gives no real details so not very helpful.
Ye'!, And!!?. How am I supposed to know?

I bought the Bush version from Tesco's last month and it's fantastic.

£29.99 and really small and dinky. It looks much nicer than some of the other cheap ones that are really plasticky (and also rather big).

Good remote control and great menu features and search functions. It gives the best picture as well as it was previously really bad on our TV.

I think Tescos do free delivery on Electronics too so that might be good. Oh, and Clubcard points!

If you have telewest digital, don't you receive all the channels you can get on freeview anyway?

The picture is identical to Asda's Duraband model which I have and is very good with favourable reviews on other forums.
