Friday 20/3/09 What small dfw things have you done today???

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)

Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D

Today i will:

• check online banking
• update spreadsheets
• move some money to savings
• make a loaf in breadmaker
• storecupboard lunch and tea
• laundry hokey cokey for OH
• ironing for me
• clean one room so no housework to do at the weekend
• reduce, reuse,recycle one thing
• plant at lest one tray of seeds
• swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
• aim for no spend day
• sparkle a lot - cow socks again today
• use lots of smilies to cheer me up

Ok so here are my goals for today:

• I MUST work on my assignment NEARLY FINISHED STAGE ONE
• Notes for training tomorrow DONE
• Walk for 30 minutes NOT TODAY!
• check bank accounts and spreadsheets DONE
• NSD DONE
• Storecupboard meals DONE
• Use products as part of 100 day challenge DONE
• Make an inventory of products in drawer as part of 100 day challenge DONE
• Go and visit mum (she's having a medical procedure today - fingers crossed for her) TOMORROW
• Take nail stuff to give her a treat if she is up to it TOMORROW

Remember: I MUST work on my assignment.

Morning all! Its PAYDAY!!! :j :j :j Whoop whoop!!

This is my first payday since joining the site, so this morning I have already:

- Checked online banking and carefully apportioned the money to where it needs to be!!

And today I will be....

- Doing a mystery shop (nice easy £10)
- Doing big shop at Tescos (sticking to detailed list and using MOCs)
- Ironing :mad: its still there!!!
- Eating out tonight - at a Murder Mystery dinner with my dad & stepmum - and my dad is paying coz its their wedding anniversary - so free dinner and entertainment!! :T :T :T

Socks - pink with flying sheep!

- Daily Cards 10p and 25p I have withdrawn my first £10
- Checked quidco - £19 due at the end of the month!
- Hope postman comes soon with cheque for mobile phone
- Do one load of washing
- Walk to Post office to collect parcel
- Pack going to MIL tomorrow
- Plan a NSD

Today - I am off to a business meeting with my mentor
Will write a letter to First Direct Visa regarding money paid to a company for services not received:mad:
Start photographing all the wedding stuff
Take a hoop out of a petticoat so it can be washed
Go to bank to pay in cheque (personal)
Go to bank to pay in cheque (business)
Contact friend at local wedding shop
Clean the kitchen
Write my remaining assignments and submit.

Start cooking for the weekend influx of visitors
