Has anyone else had this problem?
We changed over to cable on 29th May 09 keeping our existing phone number which TT said was impossible! We had a notification letter that our TT account was being cancelled but we received a bill today for our full service. When I contacted TT, I was told that they had received NO notification of account cancellation ( the letter being an optical illusion! ) and that they would cancel the service as of today which means that I will have to pay any cancellation charges as of todays date and not 22 May!
TT are total ripoff merchants who not only can they not supply a service when you are connected to them but also want you to pay for a service that they can no longer supply as the telephone cable was disconnected when VIrginmedia did their installation. Incidentally, we are still on the same phone number, the broadband and Customer services are excellent!

Sorry to hear your account wasn't cancelled as you thought it had been. If the account is still active now could you register at https://www.talktalkmembers.com/forums then I'll be able to take a look at what has gone on for you.

I also got a DD for CWP Ltd. Hadnt a clue what it was until I saw on this site that other people had had the same problem. That cleared that up. It does match with my last bill. BUT I have actually got the bill in my hand from TalkTalk and they state that this amount of money will be deducted from my bank account with the reference name "Carphone Warehouse Limited". Not obvious to me that that will actually be shown as CWP. TalkTalk - get your act together and deal with customers professionally!:rolleyes:
