I have a problem, what to do with my redundancy money
I know some it has to go towards the debts,
loan approx £2800,front loaded with intrest
Credit Card £2600, intrest still been added
Redundancy pay was £2000, but the way the jobs are (i haven't even filled an application form in for 4 weeks)

    So what would you do,

hhhhmmmmmnnnnn......Are you behind at all? Would either take a F&F of say £1000 each, which would leave you with nowt but would free up money each month from having no payments?

    or........

work out how much you pay your debts roughly each payment, divide the £2k by that amount and see how many sets of monthly payments you can stretch the redundancy money to cover.... so at least you know your debts are safely going to be paid monthly in the meantime, and live off your other job seekers and so on money without having to use it to pay debts...

I know the temptation might be to use it to bring DFD forward but i'd be more inclined just to use it to cover existing monthly creditors for say 5-6 months or however long it will last....

Except £50, which i would use to buy something nice like sweeties and alchohol!!!!

Edit - which is kinda what scaredy said... but different

    I'm on a DMP Maz,so I'm a bit behind, but I understand what you're saying hun:kisses3:
My feeling is the only way to get intrest stopped is to go on "token payments" my creditors seem to have been happy recieving 2/3 of what they should be getting so that why intrest is still been added, I've booked a budget review with CCCS

I'm really tempted to offer a silly F&F after the review and see what happens:confused:

    hi Numpty,

i put 1/2 of my redundancy money into a saving account and the rest is in my new a/c, i'm using it to help suppliment my JSA, until i get a job.

You could offer them 30% f&f payments.

    I an't got no savings:o

    30% I might try a bit lower:rolleyes:
