SC question re: Keepwarm!

Just a quick question for the SC experts!!
I've got a stew in at the moment, due to finish in 1 hour. My SC has a 'keepwarm' setting, but how long can you keep it warm for? DH is not due back from footy until 6.30pm. Should I turn it off, then reheat it later (in saucepan etc..) or will it be ok to leave it until then?
Also, want to freeze some portions - should I remove them as soon as it's finished/leave them on the 'keepwarm' then remove later??
I know I may sound a bit dense - but it's only the 2nd time I've used it!!
Thanks in advance!!!

I personally would only keep it on keepwarm for an hour or so, may as well take it out now and reheat in a pan, and freeze down what you want to, what you been making?Pawpurrs x0

I am sure it would be fine for hours on the keep warm bit, just that i would prefer it taken out, and reheated.
Ummmmm enjoy xPawpurrs x0 -
doesn't the book tell you how long to use the keepwarm setting for?0

Surely it would use less energy to reheat it in a pan than to keep it warm for the next 5 hours? I'd also remove the portions you want to freeze as soon as they are done, cool, then put in the freezer.
I don't have a slow cooker, that's just what my common sense would tell me to do!0 -
My SC automatically switches to keep warm after 4,6,8 or 10 hours cooking. the manual recomends eating within the first hour of keep warm. HTHLife's a beach! Take your shoes off and feel the sand between your toes.0
