Split pins for fabric??

Does anyone know if you can get split pins for fabric? thin ones? I want to have a go at a couple of things and the videos I have seen on the net they call them split pins but they just look like normal pins which can't be safe?

Any ideas of something I could use that is like split pins?

Do you never sleep??? Brads are exactly the same as split pins, just prettier, that may be my only option xx

I'm starting to think brads may not work at all, just had a little play and it doesn't work Need to find a few more videos to watch before attempting I think! I do like your monster brads though! very pretty

what is it to make rusty? is it kids toys?

I am trying to make a couple of bows for my little ones hair. Something completely different and probably a bit out of my capabilities but willing to give it a go!

Rusty I have made bows for my hair and for my kids. What I do is make the actual bow part first and then slide it onto a grip although you can use a glue gun and glue it to a barette.
