both me and my friend booked ours on sunday, said we had to pick times etc but when we picked them up from different stations too they were open tickets with no stated times and also still had the full fare on the ticket. Thanks for this. Does anyone know if you can book online but leave the times of the trains open?

That's interesting, thanks.0

Some of my tickets are 'anytime' but others are for specific times. I wanted to reserve seats with a table for the part of my journey that's 4 and a half hours lol! The other connection is an 'anytime' ticket.52% tight0

Just gone to check my tickets and the outward one I booked on a Fri is a cheap day return (as no single tickets left and was only 5p more!) no times on it just says off peak, my seat reservation is printed on a different ticket so could use any off peak train.
My return ticket said seat reservations not possible (maybe as it is a Sunday?) says off peak ticket, and priced at £6.95 I paid £1.95.
Mine are Worcester to Bristol tickets and do state not valid via Birmingham.
Once you have the tickets you can go to any rail station and ask if they can reserve you seats if you want for any journey - Ive done this several times and Its free, useful if travelling over say bank hol or peak times.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.
