Does anyone have any nice or funny wedding proposal stories? I was at a Lionel Ritchie concert where a guy proposed to his girlfiend with Lionel singing Three Times a Lady to her. Was very romantic. (No comments about my music taste please!)

Nothing exciting for me. Well, it was. My hubby cannot pass a jewlers without looking at watches. As he was looking, I grabbed my daughter and for a laugh looked at engagement rings. (we had no intentions of marriage. We were actually in Leeds buying easter eggs!)
All of a sudden Hubby took my hand, led me into the shop and asked the assistant for the tray I was looking at. When he pointed to the solitare diamond and slipped it on my finger, he got down on 1 knee and said. "I love you. Let's set a date later but marry me?" I cried, my daughter cried and the shop assistant cried.

My H2B picked me up from work all suited and booted and i was thinking right.... it was valentines day and we weren't going out so i was a tad confused. He proposed to me at home though with the flat all done up, roses, candles, chocolates etc.. it really was the works! When he got down on one knee i said to him "what are you doing!? Get up will ya?" lol and he asked me to marry him to which i replied "are you joking?" hee hee silly me i think i kinda ruined it for him by saying that but obviously i said yes!
He asked my dad for permission to ask me too, very traditional man i have.

Ahhh, that's lovely. I love it when a man goes all out and thinks what a woman may like. I bet he was nervous for days hoping to get it right. What a swell bloke.
My ex kind of proposed and then threw £30 quid on the bed and told me to go out and get a ring. Such a romantic man he was!!!

my h2b proposed on valentines day he got me a really crap gift to give in the morning the later he cooked me a 3 course meal which is a shock in its self as he cant cook save his life and he made scollops and a rack of lamb i was dead impressed. Why i was gettin dress up stairs he set the table put a ice bucket with 2 bottles of champagne in put all candles on the table and all round the dining room was so lovely after we had eaten he gave me my card which had loads of lovely stuff wrote about how much i mean to him and at end he wrote just one more thing will you be my wife and he was down on one knee at the side of me and then he asked me properly

My H2B and I were at the Taj Mahal - and I love getting lots of photos and I as like take one of me in front of the Taj.

He just said, okay can you hold this and then gave me the ring box!

i got a letter from prison asking if he gets sentanced to longer would i marry him.... lol hardly romantic i had to pick the ring from argos as its the only place he can order from and send him in the catalouge number ...

My boyfriend... oops sorry fiance, proposed 3 days ago on St Patricks Day!

Neither of us are Irish but its his parents Wedding Anniversary and we were in New York watching the St Patricks Day Parade down 5th Avenue with our friends when he said "Come over here I've got something to show you" he pulled me over to the wall looking over Central Park and I thought he was showing me the animals in the park when he put a ring in front of my face and said "look at this... will you marry me?".

I was so shocked and don't think I even said yes just gave him a massive hug and then everyone came running up to congratulate us even people we didn't know!
