New printer - recommendations???

I have an Epson C66 which is ok but does print stripey sometimes (yes have done all the maintenance etc). It's also very slow so need to get a new one. What do you guys recommend? - I have 2 students in the house so lots of printing done, the ink costs a fortune even when bought from the internet as we use so much (cost of running is a consideration) It also needs to be easy to maintain cos I'm not very technical. Any ideas??

Are you looking at purchasing an all-in-one printer where you can scan, print and photocopy all from one unit, or just a normal printer?
If you are looking at an all-in-one then have a look at the Epson Dx3800 http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=16540045856&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=96323
Or have a look at some other normal Epson printers because most of them are very good quality.:)0 -
I have an Epson R300 and thats great. You can use it to transfer digital camera pictures and can get all 6 cartridges for it for under £20 including postage from ebay (for the genuine epson ones).Weight Loss - 102lb0

Ive got the Epson R220, which i recently purchased and ive been really pleased with it!! Its the model down from the R300 which has also been suggested. It uses the same ink cartridges as the R300 and you can get cheap ink compatiables from https://www.ukdvdr.co.uk Im told this type of printer that uses 6 ink cartridges are more economical as you just replace the ones you have used, rather than one "all in one" ink cartridge where one colour runs out and you need to replace it. Sounds like perfect sense to me although ive not needed t change any yet but so far very pleased with the printer if thats of any help.0 -
Have you seen PC World advert for Brother all-in-one for £49?? Might be worth a look. We have HP PSC2355 - excellent!0
