Hi All
I started a DMP in Nov and it is with a fee paying company. Therefore I have decided to switch it- only just got round to it now finally getting on maternity leave and having the time to - and have phoned payplan and they have said they cant help me as I need to do a DIY DMP with them!
Basically she emailed me details on everything I need to do - stuff I already know but with a baby due in a few weeks would rather they dealt with - and told me I have to do it.
Now here is my question... do I go for it and arrange DMP on my own - after certain agreements being hard to make with certain creditors or do I phone CCCS?
Any advice would be appriciated!

How much a month can you offer?If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Same amount as Im paying now £188 a month - this is on my reduced income but that means an extra £30 a month going to creditors.Debt at LBM: £9660.05

You may find that debt charities are unhappy about doing a DMP if your circumsntaces are going to change in the next few months. have you checked the debt charities? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0

Well CCCS are my next people to call but to be honest Im thinking I may just take over the running of the DMP myself. I can still make the payments the fee paying company arranged with all my creditors and without their fee will be able to pay a little more.
It is hard as have just gone on maternity leave so income is changing big time and have now got claims form from father - I think you posted on that thread - sorry if Im having a baby brain moment - a CCJ will need to be factored in.
We arent in a worse position at all really I just begrudge paying the £30 a month fee to debt free helpline.Debt at LBM: £9660.05

It may be worth giving CCCS a call. I believe different DMP 'companies' have different criteria. If you have no joy with them then you will have to 'go it alone', but that doesn't need to be that scary. There are plenty of folks on here who will help you.
Perhaps start by posting up your Statement of Affairs so that you can get some advice on how to proceed. Go to http://www.makesenseofcards.co.uk/soacalc.html
, choose option to format for MSE and copy-and-paste on here.
Good luck!0
