Hi there, a few dfays ago I was notified that someone had tried to access my Paypal account and has tried to process an Echeque to a company called 'OffGamers' for over $400!.
Offgamer also sent me a mail to say they beieved this transaction to be fraudlulant.
I immediately accessed my Paypal account and I could see the transaction listed as cancelled and I looked at the resolution centre and it was shown as 'case closed'.
Since the, my account is still limited as apparenlty (when i called them) I have to 're link' my bank card and also fax proof of my address again (it DOES NOT say this anywhere on my account under iunstructions/next steps) then my account will be reactivated.
I have also noticed today that my personal bank account had been debited for the amount!!!!!!!! - which I was not informed would happen????. I assumed the 'case was closed' and they didnt tell me on the phone.
I have called them again (they are very arrogant on the phone) and they say 'its in the system'....and that I will have to wait 7-10 DAYS to it to be refunded back to my Paypal acount. If it was £20 then fine i could cope iwth that but how am I meant to live for the next two weeks!!. Also it goes back to my Paypal account!!!!! which means i would then have to transfer it to my back account which takes another few days!!
My Paypal account is also limited which means i cannot transact!!!! and i followed all the steps to resolve now they are telling me to do more to reset! so i may not even be able to access it anyway!
Sorry for rant but i am very angry about this.
Has anyone else had a similar experience? i want to know if there is anything else i can do to sort this out as i am so broke at the moment!. It seems so unfair this is happenning to me when it is not my fault. I just want the money back in my back account - surely there is a way to escalte this and get a direct bank transfer to my account and then they can sort the claim out?.
Hoep you can help!!!!

Have you tried contacting your bank's fraud team who might be able to get your refund through quicker?
Can you not also ask your bank for an overdraft to cover you whilst this is being investigated.0
