Strange Phone Call Taken By Hubby!!

Not sure if any one can help but.....
Hubby took a phone call at lunch time, I thought it was someone trying to get him to switch electricity companies. I thought that DH thought this as well as he was telling them that we were moving house soon and therefore not interested. When he got off the phone I asked him who phoned and he said it was someone telling him that he had won £1000 towards our electricity bill and that he was also automatically entered into a competition to win a £15,000 car (not sure what make). DH said the guy on the other end of the phone was talking really fast but said he was calling from a company called?????survey. I then told DH off for not asking more questions:mad:!!!!!
I have searched and searched to try and find a corresponding competition on the forum but to no avail, I only enter comps from here. So my question is has anyone else received a phone call like this?. I personally think that it may be a selling scam :rolleyes:however if dh receives a cheque for 1k towards leccy bill I won't complain.:rotfl:
