Credit Report Help Please! 1st Timer!

I have spent the last 2 years working hard to get my credit rating up to almost 'good' as it was in February. Then I looked at my credit report yesterday and it had nose-dived to very poor. The reason for this is that my bank had reduced my overdraft without me knowing - and therefore I didn't bring it back under the limit in time.
I'm absolutely devastated by this and very upset. I've made a massive effort to get everything back in order and now it's all been obliterated in 1 flash by Nationwide.
Can anyone please give me any kind of advice as to how I may get this late payment taken off my credit report as soon as possible?

in the terms and conditions of your account with Nationwide, is there a clause that says that they can reduce your account without giving any notice?

if there isn't you'll want to go through the complaints procedure with Nationwide and ask them to contact the credit reference agencies to correct your credit rating.

if they don't correct it or refuse your complaint then you might want to contact the Financial Ombudsman Service once you have gone through the complaints procedure with Nationwide.
