Any help, opinions, views I may hold those are my own. Respect them as you would expect the same in return. Offered freely, is gleaned from a lifetime of experiences, knowledge gaining. Passed on to benefit others. I may be direct, ask you questions but those are to help you. Up to you if you choose to take it. I won't judge you either way.

  • Right, that's it but someone called 'Snookie' whom I've never spoken to before here, joined just now sending me a PM telling me to 'go for a walk'. Right! Fine. I will.

Except it will be a walk to my police station to report what I think is intimidation.

Hello Merlin, has that black dog left your shoulders yet? Having some pond life threaten to invade your territory late at night, then getting nasty comments from people who cannot know the full story is more than enough to get you down. Chin up, flower, nil illegitimati carborundum or some such nonsense.
Incidentally, have you thought about starting a thread in the diaries section, to get your thoughts down in writing and to chart your daily progress in life's battle? Then all those who have some problem with your postings can avoid that section, and the rest of us, who do have an interest in how you are, and who believe in offering each other support when needed, can read and stick our beaks in and offer our twopennorth. I think you have a lot to say, which is why you took up writing, so a diary could be the answer.
    Think on it.

  • All I will say is no lout is going to intimidate me. And that there is something I can do about it starting from tomorrow. Almost did it today, but now I am certain. For the louts who are reading my posts, be warned because I CAN fight back using a variety of means. Do not think for one second that I cannot. To you NG, it has been a pleasure reading your posts and to anyone else here.

Cheers Merlin. Don't let a trollish minority ruin your day - there's a life out there to be lived, and it's a shame to waste it stewing on other folks' prattish behaviour. Think about the diary idea - we all need to let off steam about things, as well as offer support to each other on this forum in these trying times.

    Merlin,

I was just reading that thread & the post from snookie disappeared before my very eyes too.
I think when a newbie post for the first time it is probably best not to pick up on parts of their story & question it. Let them say their piece first & gather support from others - it can be very nerve wracking to make that first post, particulalrly when one is baring ones soul to the whole wide web.

Although I appreciate that you are trying to help, it may come across as cynicism to a newbie & we dont want to scare them away when in need of help & support.

This is not a criticism either, just a reminder that many who post for the first time need to be welcomed & 'hugged' & when then they feela bit more secure you will find they are able to answer questions.

    Lula
