Hi everybody.
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.
If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.
what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?
firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.
The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!
It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis
PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.
Kind wishes
P
Morning all & I now have a fresh, clean living area ... and a pile of empty tns to take to the dump :rolleyes:0 -
Morning Horace, Lula, Numpty and anyone else who may be out there......just retrieved this from page 2. Both chickens playing musical nesting boxes this morning, both wanted to lay at the same time so kept swapping over and chuntering at each other. Finally resolved though, two brown eggs produced. Lovely sunny day today, but spoilt by yappy little scrote of a dog across the way who barks all day. Have never seen the dog(owners probably don't let it out because they know the neighbours would lynch the thing)but it is obviously small and full of yap. Like me this morning - must get on......One life - your life - live it!0

Must be a lot of 'bumpers' on holiday?I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

I too have been working and whizzing around my office on my shiny new chair - its got levers on it so I can go up and down, forward and backward and do all sorts of things with it:rotfl:
I have had my negotiating hat on too - someone (a totally new wedding magazine) asked me to advertise with them for £200 plus VAT, a sharp intake of breath from me and I got the price down to £150 plus VAT having told them that I am paying less than that for my ads in the other magazine for 12 months:rotfl: Anyway I want to see a copy of the magazine before I make my decisions...Britains No.1 indeed:rolleyes: I will get the price down from £150 plus VAT too as they gave in too easily for that so more pressure with the thumb screws should bring them down to a sensible price:rotfl: I like Horace prices - cheap as chips or free:cool:
I have already started the first two assignments for my new course - good job they have an online version although I much prefer the paper one as I can refer back to it and its easier to read.0 -

Good news on the reductions H, I know what you mean about deciding you should have asked for an even bigger discount when they agree quickly.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
