We all lose our thread sometimes....

I, or should I say my family, think I lost mine years ago.

Just a bump from me whilst I ponder on the letter from my solicitor - some settlement monies have arrived so I asked for a bacs payment to be made - well this is what they have said:

Same day BACs would cost £3.00 plus an admin fee of £15+VAt or a 3 day BACS would cost 35p plus the same amount of admin free, a cheque by recorded delivery will cost about £1.11:eek:

Methinks I will go and collect the cheque myself and will combine the visit with an other business meeting and that way I only need to pay one lot of bus fare (£3.30 all day) and I can use shanks' pony for part of the way as it is a quarter mile walk from the bus stop to the solicitors office:rolleyes:

    I won a pigsback quiz:j:j:j

Many years ago, we were waiting to catch a plane, at Gatwick Airport, and my youngest daughter - then aged ten - was getting bored, so she went to the WH Smith shop, by the check-in desk, and bought a Cadbury's Wispa bar. At the time, Cadbury's were running a competition, with prizes of personal CD players for anyone who found a 'winning' label.

As she opened the bar she screamed at the top of her voice "I've won!!!"

Almost as one, everybody under the age of 20, who was in the check-in area, converged on to WH Smiths and bought every bar of Wispa in the Airport.

We suddenly found ourselves at the front of the queue. ;);)
