Ditto Tixy, especially the payday bit. Too much month left over at the end of the money so it's down the docks again I suppose (in my dreams!!).

5weeks between paydays for me this month, that is way too much month left over (and nothing to do with spending on new shoes last weekend :o)
But this morning I did take back some clothes I bought which I decided I didn't need and prob wouldn't wear so thats gone back in the bank at least. Be alright if I didn't need to clear second account out to pay balance for holiday .

Its an expensive month for me with car service/mot, car tax and now my washing machine has had a funny turn, first it shrieked and whistled and then it went into overdrive on spin and I thought it was about to explode:eek::mad:

I could say "bump" ... but all I can think about is:
    itchy.gif

    Yup ... it's itchy and scratchy :A :D

Tell you this tho' ... cars break down, washing machines as well, computers ... you name it, it can break, but without getting way too philosophical. I was just thinking about my ankle breaking, and along comes this thing called nature, up it pops, don't need to phone anyone, no number sequence on a phone, no payment ... and all by itself the ankle gets repaired.
Despite the problems we face, or we give ourselves at times - you know what?
If you spend a few minutes thinking about it. We all have our own on call 24/7/365 internal repair expert. We were born lucky, truly lucky!

they can change the face of the world.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

    Hi all

Car wash was a blast, the kindly firemen fed us with cake, bacon n egg butties, chips and buttered baps (for chip butties) and mugs of tea. Some kindly folks from Red Bull popped in with a bag of cold Red Bulls for us to drink and another kindly soul came to have his car washed and had popped to the local Tesco to buy us all an ice cream:cool: We had some nice cars to wash - one of the first was a ferarri and that was just fab and we took extra care with that one:D In the afternoon, two of us took a break from washing and actually stood at the side of the road where people gave us donations:j
Money will be split between the fireservice and fastaid:j
