I have just returned from the carnival - I had to borrow a fluorescent CFR coat and had to walk alongside a response vehicle collecting money. The parade consisted of one police car, one fire engine, a St John Ambulance, 2 Fastaid vehicles, 1 ambulance car, 1 radio car (local radio station) and one float - everyone else cried off because of the weather:rolleyes: We raised about £50 which will probably buy a stethoscope:rolleyes:

I got drenched - not helped by the fact that I had my crocs on so my feet were soaking wet, the last straw was in the tea tent when I put my foot on a piece of cardboard and my foot went through and a whole wave of mud came up squelching into my shoe:mad: (crocs are all I have been able to wear since last weekend)

Sounds a bit 'top heavy', H. OTT on Health & Safety. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Still at least you were there and did raise some money - even £50 is better than nothing. :T

Have you learnt how to make hobnobs yet?!!

I have been shoe shopping and then baking and I'm now eating biscuits - so I may end up fat but at least my feet will look fabulous in my 2 new pairs of shoes (not wearing them both at the same time tho - I am not a quadruped)

My wife is baking 'scones' at the moment - I can smell them from here   and am absolutely starving.

Last week she baked 'biscotti' with our own 'home grown and sun dried' Hazel nuts. :T :T

I am totally whacked and have been sleeping on the sofa then I remembered I had no food in (I need to go shopping) so I walked down to the corner shop got a newspaper, two trashy mags (take a break type mags), 2 Reeses Nutrageous bars, then I espied 3 bars of choc for £1 so that's 3 extra that I wouldnt normally have bought and a pizza which I cooked up for tea. One good thing though I was given a £2 coin in my change so now I have £88:j

Numpty I always get my ink cartridges from 7dayshop https://www.7dayshop.com - VAT free as they come from Guernsey I will only order from them when they offer free delivery otherwise you pay £3.95 but for that you can end up with about 10 jiffy bags delivered to your door.:D
