Yay we're back :j Bootsing is going to be tough for the next couple of weeks as kids are off school. I'll have to have a couple of evening shops
Edit - and now I've noticed I've only thanked 96 times. I'll have to rectify thatThere's a skinny woman inside me screaming to be let out. A cookie soon shuts her up!!! :rotfl:0 -
and now for something on-topic from me:
Watford Harlequin store had a large stand of the Gillette Putting sets. I had never seen them before, so was a bit slow. What is the deal with them? Is it that they go through free with any Gillette product rather than the £18 spend advertised?
OMG I have just earnt an extra star with a little medal. I am SSSOOOO proud!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -

What ratio do you think we should aim for: about the same number of thanks given to thanks received?I wonder what our ideal statistics should be?
As long as people don't just starting clicking thanks in a competition to see who can get the most!! I have this theory that chocolate slows down the ageing process.... It may not be true, but do I dare take the chance?0 -

Couldn't agree more! Its a bit weird, all these statistics about us.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
omg had a complete nightmare today at boots....was looking online this morning and noticed the hsm photo keyring had been reduced from £14.99 TO £3.99 as my two girls are hsm mad decided to get them and also the mp3 players travelled all the way to the store (my local isnt open on sunday) ordered the mp3 players fine and paid with my points when it came to the digital keyrings the sa said it was coming up as £14.99 each for them i told them the price online and they even called over the manager and they both said there is nothing they can do the price on their screens is the price i have to pay well obviously i wasnt going to pay that much when i knew i cud get them online for a quarter of the price so left it ...when i came back home i rang cs to check and they told me the price shud have been £3.99 but as i wanted to pay with points the only thing they cud do was for me to travel another hour back to the store to order it even though i had just come from there...told her i cudnt do that as i have three kids and dragging them once to boots is enough let alone making them sit through two trips...she basically then said tough if i wanted it badly enough i would make the trip...half an hour later of complaining and several phone calls to the store and customer services the manager of the store offered me 250 points which wud not have covered my petrol let alone anything else...was going to go in store tomorrow in my local and buy them but now found htey are out of stock arrrrrrrrrrgh any advice??0

As if I'd do that :rolleyes:but after a quick glance, there seems to be a disproportionate amount of thanks going on - from me
:rotfl:I can't imagine what Tiara and sdtmidwife's thanks look like
Mimi - Thanks for the post re T-Zone stuff. I can't find it at the moment, but I know you warned me off buying them, (from Poundland) so it was much appreciated x This backtracking's hard work lol.

Just to let you know that my friend won the 1000 points on friday!:j Lucky !!!!!!! She barely shops at Boots though and it was me who told her to try her ac card! Wonder if mr b dose it to entice people in? The SA's were really excited as she was the first to have won in their store (you get a print out that you have to take to the till to claim the points.)
Plus she got the glyco voucher and the humilating voucher and i told her how to do the 3 for 2 with the vouchers etc and all in all technically mr b paid her £1.20 for entering his store and leaving with about £30's worth of stuff!
I left with some baby food:rotfl:0 -
sophisticated. wrote: »....Albany Road - loads of reduced dental SELs, but the only product left was BreathRX mouthwash for £2.08. Still some left on the shelf. SELs for people to look out for in other stores (that were empty in this store!) include Colgate for 11p and Listerine mouthwash for 30p! Small clearance shelf, nothing of interest to me and I can't remember what they actually had, sorry! I couldn't see any Bourjois tweezers or accessories.
snipped ...
These were reduced to £2.50 in Ripon (can't find them on dot com) but a lot of the DenTek's been reduced in various Boots. Hths
