  • Can you lovely people recommend a decent hand cream that actually works. My DS informed me tonight that I have hands like an old lady, lovely. I don't want to pay the earth for one but need to sort them out pronto.
    Thankyou.

As others have said, the Soap & Glory Hand Food is lovely, and also the Endless Glove (also Soap & Glory) which I use at night with gloves. The No7 Protect & Perfect hand cream is also good.

However, if you want a cheap, really moisturising cream, you could always use Aqueous Cream, which is available from the pharmacy counter and is only about £3 for a large 500g tub if I recall correctly. It's what was recommended to me when I got really bad dermatitis recently (before I started using hand creams). You can also use it instead of soap when you wash your hands

LOL Angie :D - stop it please, I'll be needing them myself at this rate :o :rotfl:

Angel50 - Too right I won't be :D Those 1p chewies that someone mentioned might sway me though :D;)

    lol

I seen them chewies last monday @ 12p a box, but didn't need them or want them lol ... didn't know then that there were going through at 1p lol .. but in the ingredients were bad additives + I try not to buy any/many things with bad stuff in them .. like I was in greggs after Bootsing the other day + I questioned about 2 x cakes = coloured one + an ice split for bairns, but both had bad additives in. not fair!

Afternoon everyone. I will catch up with the posts later but wanted to quickly let you know about my shopping today.
I decided to have a drive over to MK and I'm so glad I did as they had loads of the no7 accessories which I must have walked past last time I was there!! The only thing they didn't have was the glasses case which I really would have liked the most but never mind.
I didn't get anything new or exciting from the acm today, no more no7 vouchers so just the 2 peel ones and the highlights one from yesterday which I used yesterday in my local.
I had 9 perkies left to use and I got 3 of the lip lacquers and 6 accessories either free or paying around £1. I used 3 of the new £2 vouchers on Bourjois tweezers and apart from a few reduced here and there that was my shop.
All my perkies are gone now and I think I'll give Bootsing a miss for a while as it's costing me a fortune (including the extra petrol money!!)

Have fun everyone with all your vouchers:beer:

    Hi there Rats09,

Can I ask if the MK stands for Milton Keynes cause I am of to Milton Keynes this afternoon and have 3 perkies left to use and would really like to get the new no7 accessories (never seen them in my local). If so could you tell me where abouts they are in the store because I will have DH with me (and he hates me going anywhere near Boots!! :rolleyes2 ) and 2 DD's and DD no2's friend with me so I need to be quick!! If it is Milton Keynes did they have a clearance section at all as I couldn't see one when I went a month ago. Anything else worth looking out for :D

    Many TIA

I'll reinforce what someone else suggested - a good dose of heavy hand cream at night with cotton gloves on top. I think any oily cream or body butter would work well. It feels a bit odd, but really works!

    Hi Passion8

The reduced lipsticks were still full price on the SEL at my local store - I took three different colours to the till, two came through as reduced, one as still full price?? HTH!

I have horribly dry hands (I work in a lab, so they get dried out because of the all the solvents I deal with). I currently have one from Lush - which smells revolting, but works quite well (I don't know what it's called, but it is the one without lanolin in it). I also like the soap and glory one (which smells great but tends to need applying several times a day) and the boots own brand traditional skin cream, which comes in a large plastic tub - I tend to use this one at night as an intensive treatment as it's a bit greasy, but I don't care if I'm asleep and it does leave them lovely and soft come the morning :)

MK does indeed stand for Milton Keynes! I went there on Tuesday and they had loads of accessories. They are opposite all the nail stuff and it looks like they stock all the range though the shopping bag was out of stock and I had the last glasses case I'm afraid! They did have some clearance but nothing I was really interested in so didn't take much notice - mainly tights I think!

    Happy shopping!

ive read that some people are gettin reduced no7 lip laquers, do these show up as reduced on the shelves or just through the till?
    tia xx
These were full price on the SEL in my local. along with the Stay Perfect lipsticks, however the No7 SA had put a handwritten sticker next to them showing as £4.xx. If the SEL is still showing full price then it's worth getting them price checked on the till ;)
