Can you just write a review for a hotel?? if so, how
Have a read of my answer again :rotfl:
I said I have never stayed at a resort either, so in the example I gave I wrote about the area I stayed in (Las Vegas in my example.)
Read Lulaloo's reply also - as she explains in fer better than I did0 -
I don't get how you can't have stayed in a resort. By resort they mean the place the hotel was in e.g. I stayed in Blu Bay Villas Hotel which was in the resort of Playa Dorada in the Dominican Republic. I stayed in the Glasshouse Hotel which was in the resort of Edinburgh.
Every hotel is somewhere. They just want you to review the area as well as the hotel
ok.. I understand what you're saying but every hotel is not in a resort - ie: i stayed at the Edinburgh Mariott and that just on a road in Edinburgh, not a resort! But I think I'm getting confused ie: the hotel industry say 'resort' and mean place ie: town, area but the definition of a resort to me is "a nice long driveway, luxurious and plentiful amenities, nice landscaping, prefect service, beautiful buildings" , you get the point
I just feel it's not transparent to mark in the resort bit "bad" to the beach questions, as the hotels i stay in aren't anywhere near beaches! they should have a section saying 'not a resort' or something....anyway....0 -

I totally agree and understand about the beach side of things, and there are genuine "resorts" that dont even have beaches eg Disneyland Paris. This is a fault with the site, not your grading of the resort.
Personally I think you are reading way too much into this... What I have been doing is simply writing up on the surrounding area and putting "average" under any ammeinities the area doesnt have. For the overall score, dont let your "average scores" influence your genuine score. For example, if you put everything as excellent but beaches as average (because there werent any) its not fair to mark the resort down for that, so put the average score as excellent...
You also have the option of simply explaining your "average" marking as part of the review. Then the reader remains completely informed why you gave the marks you did.
Hope that helps!0 -
Personally I see nothing wrong with that, providing they are genuine reviews, however, bear in mind your name and email address go on the form when submitting the review so they may link the two reviews per day...
not that im suggesting you exploit the sysyem as it could lead to all your cashback being voided but you could use a xxx@spam.la address.
Ofc im only posting for education :money:0 -
K well i gave my review lastnight of a hotel i have been to a few times, through topcashback.
Its been about 20hours now so hopefully it will get tracked soon, and i will get paid the £2
If it works il also do the same thing through quidco, but just with a different email address, different bank account for withdrawals.
Could be really good this as if its £4 per day for doing 1 trhough each thats £120 per month.
Or in other words this will cover my entire monthly food budget until i manage to get job, and so will relieve ALOT of the financial pressure im currently under to earn food money.0 -

Yup! Agreed. I'll just put average. Just felt bad marking down where there wasn't an option for "N/A"
love the avatar by the way! :rotfl:0 -
