Phoning abbey about re-mortgaging

Hello,
Can someone please help..I am currently on hold to the abbey to speak about remortgaging and have been on hold now for 1 hour 10 mins!!
I tried on monday and gave up after 50mins..
I really need to speak to them but just dont seem to be able to, is there any quick ways of getting through or am i just out of luck?

It did take me a while last year. Did you use the freephone number? Try just after 6. Maybe they don`t work after 8 and if they do they only have a few people working.0
